Here are some of the apps you can download and use on your iPhone to give iOS some widget zing. It's best to keep your most important apps within reach at all times. The easiest way to do this is to add your favorite four apps to the Dock, then prioritize the next-most important apps on your first Home Screen.
If using the Shortcuts app sounds like too much of a drag for you, you may be wondering if there are any other ways to change app icons on an iPhone. Unfortunately, the choices are extremely limited. Unlike Android, it isn’t possible to download and install app icon packs for iOS. There are two ways to change the app icons on an iPhone. The first — and the easiest — is to use the Shortcuts app to link the app to an icon stored in your Photos app.
Start by creating a new Lock Screen
The next step is to actually find wallpaper and make it your home screen. With hundreds of apps allowing you to download cool images, the sky is the limit when it comes to finding the right one. Tap on "Choose apps." The previous selection of allowing or silencing notifications will already be active. On the Home Screen, press and hold on blank space or an app icon to enter wiggle mode. The first color in the color selection menu is a gradient based on the wallpaper. After selecting a wallpaper, users can swipe between filters on photo wallpapers or select different views in some of Apple's dynamic wallpapers. To do this, tap and hold an app to open a popup menu, choose Remove App, then choose Remove from Home Screen. This sends the app to your iPhone App Library instead.
Delete a Lock Screen
Tap on each Home Screen page that will be used for the current Focus. The Home Screen wallpaper will default to the Lock Screen's selection. Use the Home Screen wallpaper selection guide from earlier to change this independent of the Lock Screen.
Tap the first iPhone image to select a Lock Screen. A toggle for "Time Sensitive Notifications" can be turned on or off based on user preference. A toggle for "Allow Repeated Calls" can be turned on or off based on user preference. Tap "Add People," and a Contacts modal window will slide up. Navigate the UI and select everyone to be included in the list. It helps if Contacts have already been sorted into groups.

Only the home screen pages you chose during the focus setup will appear on your iPhone whenever the focus is active. If you didn't select any during the focus setup, your home screen would remain the same as before. To get going, create an album of all of your favorite wallpapers and then add the wallpaper shortcut to your shortcut library.
Repeat this for every custom page used on different Focuses where that app will be used. App icons are static across the operating system. With this feature, you can keep only the important apps or remove all of them to get a clean home screen. If, however, you want to delete the page altogether, tap on the remove (-) icon on the page. Doing so will remove the page from the list of pages. However, the apps on the page will not be uninstalled. You can still access them from the App Library.
Part of managing the Home Screen is getting rid of unnecessary junk. To prevent new apps from automatically installing themselves on the Home Screen, go to the Settings app, select "Home Screen," and tap "App Library Only." By default, the Lock Screen wallpaper is used for the Home Screen. Users can toggle a blur effect or select an entirely different photo or color wallpaper. There are four square widget slots below the clock and a text widget above. These five spots can show data pulled from apps installed on the iPhone, including third-party apps.
Some of these apps include 1Password, CARROT Weather, DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser, Duolingo , Overcast, Pocket Casts, Slack, Telegram, and Tinder. Just go into the app’s settings and see if they offer alternative icons. The easiest way to change the app icons on an iPhone is by using the pre-installed Shortcuts app. This allows you to add the app to the home screen.
At the top of the screen, tap in the Open App field to change the name of the new shortcut. You can also tap the icon to change the color or choose a different icon .
